Description

Culture that is identified as Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB), MTB complex, or M. bovis will have susceptibilities reflexively ordered for an additional charge. Blood bottles and trek broth must have organisms visible by stain to be acceptable for sequence analysis.

Send pure culture with growth (plate, slant or positive blood culture bottle) at room or refrigerated temperature. Follow approved regulations for transporting infectious substances. A mixed culture will be subject to an additional charge.
