EHPA for Emergency Bleeding Patients only. This panel will always be ordered STAT. It is to be used by the physician in selecting the appropriate blood products for the management of severe bleeding.
NOTE: Samples are tested and results reported without verification by another method. Resubmit a new sample when results do not correlate with clinical presentation.

Processing
- Receiving Instructions
HMC Instructions: Take Specimen IMMEDIATELY to Hematology. Notify Hematology technologist of EHP specimen arrival by overhead page. Login after delivery to Hematology. Take the Labels to Hematology for specimens.
UW-MT Instructions: Take Blue Top to Coagulation and Lavender Top to Hematology. Announce EHP specimen arrival to Heme and Coag.
Note: If only one type of tube is received, process received sample immediately. Cancel and credit the unreceived test and notify ordering location immediately to resubmit missing sample with a new order.
