- Description
Indications: Solid organ transplant.
Test Information: Bloodworks NW placeholder code for final lymphocyte crossmatch for solid organ transplants. This test may be used for recipient (deceased or living donor) or donor (living donor) samples. Patient serum is crossmatched against donor lymphocytes to to detect antibodies against the donor, and against the patient's own lymphocytes to detect autoantibodies. The test performed varies by priority (3088-00 for routine lymphocyte crossmatch, 3088-02 for 24-hour turnaround time, and 3088-04 for STAT/4- to 8-hour turnaround with verbal result reporting). Donor results will file under the recipient.
- Note: Test results may not be associated with this sample if final crossmatch testing is performed on a stored sample at Bloodworks Northwest.
Additional Ordering Guidance: This test may be used as recipient "day of transplant" sample to meet CMS requirements.
