Thyroglobulin and Thyroglobulin Antibody

General Information

Lab Name
Thyroglobulin Panel
Lab Code
THGLBN
Epic Name
Thyroglobulin and Antibody Panel (Thyroid Cancer Recurrence)
Description

Note: Thyroglobulin antibodies can interfere with measurement of thyroglobulin. Consequently, this panel includes a screen for these antibodies. The mass spectrometry (LCMS) method does not have this interference. TG by LCMS will be added reflexively if the antibody result is positive or indeterminate and the TG by immunoassay is ≤1.00 ng/mL. In these cases, the TG by immunoassay will be credited. See TGFNA for fluid Thyroglobulin testing.
