Roche Platform Transition

This page compares reference ranges between the Roche and Beckman platforms for the selected category of tests. For a description of the transition from the Bechman to Roche automated chemistry platform, please see the Roche Transition guideline.

Method Comparison

The slope of the linear regression of Roche onto Beckman represents the proportional bias between the two methods (i.e., the proportional change going from Beckman to Roche). The mean bias is expressed as a % or an absolute bias depending on whether there is a proportional bias between Beckman and Roche or a constant bias. A positive mean bias means that Roche results are higher than Beckman results, on average. While it is not recommended to use this information to convert one result directly to the other, the data will help when comparing results across platforms.

Tests with significantly different performance characteristics are reported using different component names and are not trendable in Epic.
